Good music has always been a release for me, and for the last 20 years I have been filling that need. I have played in several bands in the Central Missouri area. I played my first gig in a band called Derringer, with Jason Caton the original lead guitar player for Buck Drunk. I was then fortunate enough to become the front man for a band that I played with for a few years, Dred Mohagus. I really started to learn about being a front man and what all came along with that in Dred. Playing with some great musicians in this band and starting to learn about Rock n Roll are some of the best memories of my life.

After Dred, I started singing with some of the same guys that I am playing with today in a band called Core, playing Heavy Progressive Rock n Roll and continuing to entertain the Central Missouri area.

The next band that I helped form was called Barrelhouse. I was able to fulfill my life long dream of releasing a CD with this band. Our self titled debut album was released in 2003 and received quite a bit of local play, as well as an offer from an executive with Time Warner asking us to perform a showcase for a couple of their smaller indie labels. The showcase was never finalized, and we never played for the big boys…….but who knows? About a year after the release of our CD, our drummer Chad Dunkin passed away after having a heart transplant at the way to young age of 27. On that day, the world lost a great person and I lost a good friend. We never really talked much about replacing Chad, I guess Barrelhouse was buried with him.

2 Buck Drunk is a band where I feel like I have found a home, I consider all of these guys an extension of my family. Playing in several bands over the last 20 years, I have played with some great musicians and have made some terrific friends, but 2 Buck Drunk has become the most successful group I have been a part of since first taking control of the microphone. I went into this band knowing that we would have a hell of a lot of fun playing music together. What I did not realize, is how quickly the music that we were playing would come together and how quickly we would start to build a following with that music. I look forward to all the years ahead making good music with my family of friends.

Outside of the band, I have two beautiful children. My children have watched me perform at several shows, and I will have to say I think they seem very proud when they see their dad up on stage singing his heart out for the crowd. My daughter is showing some signs of following in her dad's footprints. I am telling you that girl can sing! My son is starting to show some interest in music as well. I will definitely encourage their musical endeavors, as it has been a great release for me the majority of my life.  My kids are the greatest kids in the world, and I am very fortunate and incredibly proud,  to be their father.

My musical influences are very broad. In my CD collection you will find everything from Pantera and Slipknot to Merle Haggard and George Jones. Music is the universal language, and I am happy to say that I work hard at being able to speak it fluently!
